MCD, DTTDC Partner to Revive Iconic Town Hall as Delhi's New Cultural Hub

• The 160-year-old Grade-A heritage structure, which served as MCD's headquarters from 1866 to 2012, has been vacant and deteriorating since.
• Initial estimates suggest the extensive restoration work will cost over Rs 100 crore, though the exact figure is yet to be determined.
• The plan aims to open the building to the public under a revenue-sharing arrangement, potentially including a ticketing system for self-sustainability.
