Mizoram's 'Bana Kaih' Scheme: 5,000+ Loan Applications Received, 176 Approved

Over 5,000 people applied for loans under Mizoram's flagship 'Bana Kaih' (handholding) scheme, Minister F Rodingliana informed the Assembly.
•
To date, 176 applications have been approved for credit, with Rs 6.84 crore disbursed to 91 beneficiaries by partner banks.
•
Launched by CM Lalduhoma, the scheme facilitates loans up to Rs 50 lakh, with the government acting as a guarantor.
•
Beneficiaries receive up to 100% interest subvention for timely loan repayment and grants up to Rs 50,000 under a special category.
•
The scheme includes market support with Minimum Support Price (MSP) for five key local crops and has Rs 350 crore allocated for 2026-27.
