Mohanlal-Mammootty's 'Patriot' to Open IFFLA After 18 Years
•Malayalam espionage thriller “Patriot” starring Mohanlal and Mammootty will open the 24th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) from April 23-26.
•The film marks the first collaboration between the screen legends in 18 years and also features Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, and Revathy.
•IFFLA will screen 27 films, including features, documentaries, and shorts from various countries, showcasing South Asian cinema.
•The festival closes with the North American premiere of Anusha Rizvi’s “The Great Shamsuddin Family” and includes other notable films like “Ghost School” and “Sand City”.
•IFFLA highlights a surge of women filmmakers, with 13 of 18 short films directed by women, and offers industry forums and a Pitch Competition.
