MRF Ltd to invest Rs 5,300 cr in Tamil Nadu for new tyre plant, creating 1,000 jobs

Tyre major MRF Ltd signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government for a Rs 5,300 crore investment.
•
The investment is for a new greenfield tyre manufacturing unit in SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sivaganga district.
•
The project, spread over 12 years, is expected to create direct employment for 1,000 people.
•
The MoU was signed in the presence of CM M K Stalin, MRF's K M Mammen and Arun Mammen, and other officials.
•
The agreement is non-binding, contingent on a customised incentive package and statutory approvals.
