Mumbai Police Busts 'Paper-to-Currency' Scam, Two Arrested for Rs 7 Lakh Fraud
•Mumbai's Bangur Nagar Police busted a fraud racket, arresting Pawan alias Prakash Kumar Dilip Prasad and Sar alias Gajsingh Manoj Singh Prasad.
•The accused swindled businessman Lalan Rajkumar Mahto of Rs 7 lakhs with a false promise to transform ordinary paper into Indian currency using special chemicals.
•They demonstrated with a Rs 500 note, then took Rs 7 lakhs, providing paper bundles that they claimed would magically turn into currency.
•Police tracked the accused using technical intelligence to Buxar (Bihar) and Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh), apprehending them with local police assistance.
•Authorities warn the public against such scams and are interrogating the accused to identify other potential victims.
