NCL Fuels India's Energy Security: Record 137 MT Coal Supplied in FY26

Coal India arm NCL supplied a record 137.08 million tonnes (MT) of coal in FY2025-26, reinforcing India’s energy security.
•
Approximately 86% (117.85 MT) of the total dispatch went to coal-based power plants.
•
NCL produced 140.5 MT of coal in 2025-26, a 1.08% growth, meeting its annual production target.
•
85.51% of coal dispatch was through environment-friendly modes, aligning with sustainable operations.
•
NCL, based in Singrauli, contributes 10% to India's electricity generation, supplying coal to major thermal power plants.
