NDMC Expands Mist Sprayer Network to Combat Delhi Pollution on 24 Major Roads
•New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is expanding its automatic misting systems to 24 major roads under its jurisdiction.
•The project aims to curb pollution, mitigate road dust, and improve air quality in central Delhi.
•17 mist spray systems are already installed on Lodhi Road, Shanti Path, and Africa Avenue, covering 29 km and 1,323 electric poles.
•The next phase includes 10 additional roads like Barakhamba Road, Firoz Shah Road, with a cost of Rs 4.94 crore for installation and one year of operation.
•Systems release fine water droplets from electric poles, helping dust particles settle, and 96 fountains also aid dust mitigation.
