NHAI accepts NHIT's Rs 6,221 cr offer to monetize two highway assets

•NHAI accepted National Highways Infra Trust’s (NHIT) offer of Rs 6,220.90 crore for monetizing two highway sections.
•The monetized assets span 310.35 km across Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
•These include the Amravati–Chikhali–Tarsod section of NH-53 in Maharashtra and Gundugolanu-Chinna–Avutapalli section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh.
•Asset monetization, through models like ToT and InvIT, helps NHAI generate funds for new National Highway projects.
•With this award, total assets monetized through NHIT reach Rs 49,858 crore.
