No Power Tariff Hike for Odisha Domestic Consumers in 2026-27: OERC

The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) announced no power tariff hike for domestic consumers for the fifth consecutive year in 2026-27.
•
OERC Secretary Priyabrata Patnaik confirmed that retail supply tariff for 2026-27 will remain the same as 2025-26.
•
Domestic consumers will pay Rs 2.90 per unit for the first 50 units, with rates increasing for higher consumption slabs.
•
Rebates for industrial consumers increased from 20 paise to 30 paise per unit for consumption beyond 80% load factor.
•
Domestic and single-phase general-purpose consumers get a 4% bill rebate; pre-paid consumers also receive a 4% rebate.
