Noida International Airport Secures DGCA Aerodrome License, Set for Takeoff

Aviation regulator DGCA has granted an aerodrome license for the Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.
•
The airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG.
•
NIA is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project with the Uttar Pradesh government and the Union government.
•
The airport is being developed in four phases and will include a multi-modal cargo hub.
•
Phase one will handle 12 million passengers annually; the airport's ultimate capacity will be 70 million passengers per year.
