•Noida International Airport receives "security vetting clearance" from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
•This clearance removes a major hurdle for obtaining the crucial aerodrome licence, officials confirmed.
•Rakesh Singh, CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, stated the licence is expected soon.
•Once the aerodrome licence is granted, passenger flight services can commence after operational discussions.
•The greenfield airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar, aims to handle 1.2 crore passengers annually in its first phase.
