Noida International Airport gets BCAS security nod; aerodrome licence imminent

Noida International Airport receives "security vetting clearance" from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).

This clearance removes a major hurdle for obtaining the crucial aerodrome licence, officials confirmed.

Rakesh Singh, CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, stated the licence is expected soon.
•
Once the aerodrome licence is granted, passenger flight services can commence after operational discussions.
•
The greenfield airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar, aims to handle 1.2 crore passengers annually in its first phase.
