Odisha Installs Rooftop Solar on 46,793 Buildings Under Central Scheme: Deputy CM

Odisha has installed rooftop solar plants on 46,793 buildings under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
•
Deputy CM KV Singh Deo informed the Assembly about the progress, with 2,01,443 applications received.
•
Subsidies have been released to 35,966 beneficiaries of the scheme.
•
OREDA installed rooftop solar plants on 28 government offices in Bhubaneswar with a total capacity of 1850 KW.
•
The central government provides Rs 78,000 subsidy, and the state adds Rs 60,000 for up to 3 KW plants; Rs 1,800 crore allocated by state.
