Over 1 Lakh Pension Grievances Annually: Centre Reports Improved Redressal Time

More than 1 lakh pension-related grievances were received online via CPENGRAMS in 2025, with similar numbers in 2024.

CPENGRAMS is an online portal for registering, tracking, and redressing pensioners’ grievances.
•
Ministry of Defence, Department of Financial Services (Banking Division), and Ministry of Railways received the highest number of grievances.
•
Efforts like pension adalats, inter-ministerial review meetings, and special campaigns have significantly reduced redressal time.
•
Average redressal time improved to 19 days by February 2026; Ministry of Defence has highest pending cases (3,699).
