Patiala to get 256-bed trauma centre, boosting Punjab's healthcare

• Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh announced a new 256-bed modern trauma centre at Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.
• The Rs 81.80 crore project aims to significantly enhance emergency and critical care services for Patiala and nearby districts.
• The fully air-conditioned centre will feature modern operation theatres, ICUs, advanced diagnostic systems, and ventilator support.
• A Rs 56 lakh central facility centre with billing, admission, and a mini lab is also being developed for patient convenience.
• Additionally, Rs 13.53 crore has been released for a new residential hostel for junior doctors to improve living conditions.
