RBI to auction Rs 29,000 crore Government Securities tomorrow

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced an underwriting auction for the sale of Government Securities (GS) amounting to Rs 29,000 crore.
• The auction is scheduled for tomorrow, April 2, and includes two re-issued Government Securities.
• Securities on offer are Rs 17,000 crore of 6.68% GS maturing in 2040 and Rs 12,000 crore of 7.43% GS maturing in 2076.
• Primary Dealers (PDs) have specified Minimum Underwriting Commitment (MUC) and minimum bidding commitment under Additional Competitive Underwriting (ACU).
• The underwriting auction will be conducted through a multiple price-based method, with bids submitted electronically via RBI's e-Kuber system.
