Senior Naxal Leader Vikas, 14 Others Surrender in Chhattisgarh

Fifteen Naxalites, including Special Zonal Committee-level member Vikas, surrendered in Mahasamund district.
•
The surrendered cadres, including nine women, belonged to the Balangir-Bargarh-Mahasamund division of Maoists.
•
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma called the surrender a significant step under the state government’s rehabilitation policy.
•
Vikas was serving as the secretary of the West Sub-Zonal wing of the Maoist organisation.
•
The Naxalites surrendered with a cache of weapons, including AK-47s, SLRs, INSAS, and .303 rifles.
