SIT Detains 'Godman' Kharat's Son, Hunts for Wife in Rape and Cheating Cases

• The Special Investigation Team (SIT) detained Harshvardhan, son of rape-accused 'godman' Ashok Kharat, for questioning in Nashik.
• At least 10 FIRs, including eight for sexual assault and two for cheating, have been registered against Kharat.
• SIT is actively searching for Kharat's wife, Kalpana, who is absconding and wanted in a separate cheating case.
• Police in Ahilyanagar district registered a case against five persons, including Kalpana, for allegedly cheating a land owner of over Rs 4 crore.
• Two accused, Arvind Bawake and Kiran Sonawane, have been arrested in the cheating case, while Kharat, his wife, and a middleman are wanted.
