Supreme Court Stays Trial in ED Case Against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren

• Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed the trial in a money laundering case against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
• A bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul M Pancholi issued notice to the Enforcement Directorate on Soren's plea.
• Soren sought quashing of the case and challenged repetitive summons issued by the ED.
• He also challenged the Jharkhand High Court’s decision refusing to quash the case against him.
• The ED filed a complaint against Soren for not appearing despite summons in a land scam case.
