SWR Achieves Record Rs 8,550 Cr Revenue by Feb FY26, Up 14.31%
- •South Western Railway (SWR) reported an overall gross revenue of Rs 8,550 crore for FY 2025-26 up to February, marking a 14.31% growth over the previous year.
- •Freight revenue was the primary contributor at Rs 4,876 crore (18.27% growth), while passenger revenue reached Rs 3,154 crore (9.25% growth).
- •In February 2026 alone, SWR earned Rs 780 crore, a 7.25% increase, with passenger revenue at Rs 307 crore (14.5% growth) and freight revenue at Rs 415 crore.
- •SWR loaded 47.5 million tonnes (MT) of originating freight by February 2026, a 17% increase from 40.6 MT in the previous year.
- •Key commodity loading increases include iron ore (19 MT, 10.7% growth), steel (9.8 MT, 35.9% growth), and coal (9.3 MT, 16.6% growth).
