GST Collection Soars 8.1% to 1.83 Lakh Crore in February; Refunds Up 10.2%
•India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in February 2026 increased by 8.1 percent, reaching over 1.83 lakh crore rupees.
•The surge was primarily driven by a 17.2 percent increase in revenue from imports, totaling 47,837 crore rupees.
•Gross domestic revenue also rose by 5.3 percent to approximately 1.36 lakh crore rupees.
•Total GST refunds saw a 10.2 percent increase, amounting to 22,595 crore rupees, with net collection up 7.9 percent to over 1.61 lakh crore rupees.
•Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka led in GST collection, while Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Ladakh, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Manipur recorded the lowest.
