•A man allegedly molested a 13-year-old mentally challenged girl in Thane district, Maharashtra.
•The incident occurred in Bhiwandi on December 12 last year, but the complaint was filed on March 8.
•The accused, aware of the girl's intellectual disability, allegedly touched her inappropriately at a relative's house.
•Kongaon police registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 74, 78, and POCSO Act.
•A probe into the matter is currently underway.
