Three Brothers Booked for Mortgaging Sold Land in UP's Bhadohi

• Three brothers, Ram Bahadur, Shiv Bahadur, and Shyam Bahadur, booked for allegedly mortgaging land they had already sold.
• The accused pledged 0.104 hectare of land belonging to Jyoti Devi, a deaf and mute woman, to secure loans from two banks.
• Jyoti Devi had purchased the land from the brothers on December 3, 2021, for Rs 1 lakh through a registered sale deed.
• The land was mortgaged at State Bank of India in January 2022 and Varanasi District Cooperative Bank in January 2024 for personal loans.
• Devi's father-in-law filed a complaint, leading to a court directive for a case against the brothers and initiation of a probe.
