TN CM Stalin announces Rs 2,000 special fund for 37 lakh marginalized beneficiaries

• Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin announced a special fund of Rs 2,000 for 37.79 lakh marginalized people.
• The fund is in addition to existing monthly pensions for elderly, widows, transgenders, and disabled persons.
• This initiative aims to alleviate financial hardships for those living on the margins.
• It follows the February distribution of a Rs 2,000 summer package for women under the 'Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai' scheme.
• The government also transferred Rs 3,200 to 29.29 lakh senior citizens and widows, Rs 3,500 to 5.92 lakh disabled people, and Rs 4,000 to 2.58 lakh families of disabled persons.
