IAF Sukhoi Su-30MKI Jet Crashes in Assam; Sqn Ldr Anuj, Flt Lt Duragkar Killed

An Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30MKI fighter jet crashed in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
•
Two pilots, Sqn Ldr Anuj and Flt Lt Purvesh Duragkar, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
•
The aircraft lost radar contact shortly after taking off from Jorhat on Thursday evening.
•
The Su-30MKI was on a training mission, and communication was lost at 7:42 pm.
•
This is the third Sukhoi crash since January 2023, with previous incidents in Nashik (June 2024) and Gwalior (January 2023).
