Women Voters Outnumber Men in TN: 51% of Electorate, 12 Lakh Gap

Women now constitute 51% of Tamil Nadu's total electorate, outnumbering men by over 12.21 lakh.
•
Out of 5,67,07,380 electors, female voters are 2,89,60,838, while male voters are 2,77,38,925.
•
The gender gap has widened significantly since the 2021 Assembly elections, despite a reduction in the total electorate.
•
Women maintain a lead in almost every district, including Chennai, Thiruvallur, Erode, and Coimbatore.
•
The number of registered third gender voters has increased to 7,617 in 2026, up from 7,192 in 2021.
