74 Lakh Names Removed: Tamil Nadu's Final Voter List Sees Major Changes

Election Commission released the final voter list for Tamil Nadu after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
•
A total of 74.07 lakh names were removed from the electoral roll under various categories.
•
The total number of voters in Tamil Nadu now stands at 5.67 crore, down from 6.41 crore before SIR.
•
7.4 lakh individuals in the 18-19 age group have been added to the voter list for the first time.
•
Sholinganallur constituency has the highest number of voters (5,36,991), while Harbor has the lowest (1,16,896).
