India's First All-Women E-Bus Driver Program Completes Training for 20 Recruits

• India’s first all-women e-bus driver training program concluded with 20 recruits from Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) completing a two-week course.
• The training took place at EKA Mobility’s manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, supported by Travel Time and GIZ.
• The initiative aims to increase women’s participation in CRUT’s operational fleet and support Odisha’s electric public transport transition.
• Participants received practical driving sessions, technical modules on EV systems, and safety training, including regenerative braking and high-voltage safety.
• All 20 recruits are now ready to join CRUT’s electric bus fleet, with potential for expansion to other states to promote gender inclusion and electric mobility workforce growth.
