Tata Consumer: Rs 269 Crore Tax Demand Withdrawn After Rectification Order
•
Tata Consumer Products announced the withdrawal of a Rs 269.29 crore tax demand by the Income Tax Department.
•
The initial demand, including interest, was raised by the Centralized Processing Center in Bengaluru for FY 2018-19.

A rectification order from the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Kolkata, deleted the entire demand and reinstated claims.

This follows a separate Rs 98.03 crore tax demand disclosed on March 14 for FY2022-23, which the company stated would not impact financials.
•
The company reported strong Q3 FY26 results with consolidated net profit up 34% to Rs 402.79 crore and revenue up 15% to Rs 5,112 crore.
