•Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a Rs 500 crore four-lane road project for the Rahatgarh-Khimlasa route in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh.
•The new road will link Sagar-Bhopal National Highway, Bina-Sagar National Highway, and the Kashmir to Kanyakumari national corridor, easing travel to Bhopal and Jhansi.
•Expected to boost local economy, tourism, industry, and agriculture, benefiting 1 municipality, 2 town councils, and 35 villages along the corridor.
•Current 67 km stretch is in poor condition, taking 2-3 hours; the upgraded road will cut travel time to just one hour.
