MP's 500 Cr Four-Lane Road: Connects 3 NHs, Eases Sagar, Bhopal, Jhansi Travel
- •Madhya Pradesh to get a 500 crore four-lane road from Rahatgarh to Khimlasa in Sagar district, announced by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav.
- •The new highway will connect to Sagar-Bhopal, Bina-Sagar, and Kashmir-Kanyakumari National Highways, easing travel to Sagar, Bhopal, and Jhansi.
- •Benefits include increased land prices, development of tourism and industrial sectors, and economic prosperity for 1 municipality, 2 town councils, and ~20 villages.
- •Currently, the 67 km stretch is in poor condition, taking 2-3 hours; the new road will reduce travel time to 1 hour and distance by 4 km.
- •The project, a long-standing demand, will pass through approximately 35 villages, including Rahatgarh, Khurai, and Malthon.
