North Chennai Gets Relief: Rs 96-Crore Korukkupet Flyover Opens, Easing Traffic

• Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin inaugurated the Rs 96-crore Korukkupet flyover on Korukkupet-Manali Road.
• The 840-meter bridge, including a 72-meter section over railway lines, aims to alleviate decades of traffic congestion.
• Up to 42,000 vehicles daily faced delays at Korukkupet and Kodungaiyur crossings for 40 years.
• The new flyover will benefit approximately 100,000 people from Korukkupet, Kodungaiyur, Tondiarpet, and surrounding areas.
• CM Stalin also laid the foundation for another Rs 75-crore overbridge at 2A railway crossing and a Rs 1.1-crore public park.
