LG Clears Major Hurdle for Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro Corridor

• Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena approved Delhi Jal Board (DJB) land allotment to DMRC for the Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro corridor viaduct.
• This decision clears a long-pending hurdle for the Phase IV project, specifically for the viaduct between Rithala and Rohini Sector 25.
• DJB will allot 50 sq m permanently and 1,286 sq m temporarily for four years, with DMRC paying Rs 75.50 lakh.
• The clearance is expected to expedite work on the Rithala–Bawana–Narela–Kundli corridor and boost Narela's development as a residential, education, and sports hub.
• The corridor, featuring 21 elevated stations, will improve Delhi-Haryana connectivity, ease traffic/pollution in north-west Delhi, and integrate with the Red Line.
