Retired Cop Defrauded of ₹1.33 Crore in Land Scam; Accused Threatens with Gun

• Retired Police Sub-Inspector Gorakh Mansingh Chavan was defrauded of ₹1.33 crore in a land purchase-sale deal.
• Accused Sheikh Irfan and his family lured Chavan with land in Chaus Colony, Himayatbagh, using bounced cheques and fake agreements.
• An FIR was registered at City Chowk Police Station against Sheikh Shafiq Sheikh Salman, Gausia Begum Sheikh Shafiq, Sheikh Shafiq alias Sheikh Sahab, Sheikh Jameel Sheikh Ghulam Rasul, and Sheikh Imran Sheikh Gaffar.
• Chavan paid ₹1.33 crore between February 15-20, 2024; accused later threatened him with a gun at Salman Hall, Delhi Gate.
• The Economic Offenses Wing is investigating the case after Chavan's complaint.
