US Core Inflation Nears 5-Year Low, Signaling Easing Price Pressures

US core inflation is projected to fall to a five-year low of 2.5% in January, down from 2.6% in December, according to FactSet.

Overall annual inflation is forecast to drop to 2.4% in January, the lowest in nine months, from 2.7% in December.
