MHA Amends BSF Assistant Commandant Rules, Raises Age Limit to 60

  • The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has amended recruitment rules for Assistant Commandant (Official Language) in BSF.
  • The key change includes raising the upper age limit for deputation from 57 to 60 years.
  • Revised eligibility conditions now allow officers from Central/State governments, PSUs, universities, etc., to apply.
  • Applicants need a Master's degree in Hindi or English and three years of translation, teaching, or research experience.
  • Departmental Subedar Major (Hindi Translator) in Level-8 with four years of regular service is also eligible.
