Women Excel in Tech & Skills, Yet India's Workforce Gap Persists

•Women's workforce participation reached 28.1% in 2025, but growth has significantly slowed since 2022, according to LinkedIn.
•Despite progress, women hold only 18% of leadership roles and face early career attrition, dropping from 35.5% at entry-level to 28.4% at experienced levels.
•Women show strong momentum in tech and skill development, comprising 26% of active learners at Masai and securing over 60% of placements in core engineering roles.
•A high percentage of women (76%) are actively seeking jobs and demonstrate greater confidence in adopting AI (90%) and learning AI skills (35%) compared to men.
•Structural barriers like salary disparities (₹3.24 lakh in metros vs ₹2.85 lakh in Tier-1 cities) and personal responsibilities continue to hinder women's career progression.
