Multivitamins May Slightly Slow Biological Aging, New Study Suggests

New research published in Nature Medicine suggests daily multivitamins could slightly slow biological aging in older adults.

The Cocoa Supplement and Multivitamin Outcomes Study (COSMOS) trial, led by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, studied 958 adults aged 60+.
•
Multivitamin-multimineral supplements slowed two “epigenetic clocks” by 1.5 to 2 months per year compared to placebo.

Senior author Howard Sesso cautions that results are not conclusive and more research is needed to confirm findings.
