IMD Forecasts Rain, Snowfall in Himalayas; Dense Fog Warning for North India
- •The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts fresh spells of rain and snowfall across the western Himalayan region over the next two days.
- •Dense to very dense fog is expected to persist over parts of north and central India, including Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.
- •Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are likely to experience wet weather on February 5-6 and again on February 9-10 due to western disturbances.
- •Minimum temperatures are expected to fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius over northwest, central, and eastern India in the coming days.
- •Delhi is forecast to have mainly clear to partly cloudy skies with shallow morning fog and strong northwesterly surface winds, with temperatures ranging from 8-12°C (min) to 21-24°C (max).
