PM Modi Makes Historic C-130J Landing on Assam Highway ELF

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a historic landing with a C-130J aircraft at Northeast's first Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) in Moran, Assam.
• The 4.2-kilometer-long ELF on NH-37 Moran Bypass, built at ₹100 crore, will strengthen defense, logistics, and disaster management.
• It can accommodate fighter jets up to 40 tons and large transport aircraft up to 74 tons, serving as an alternative to Dibrugarh Airport.
• PM Modi also inaugurated a new Brahmaputra bridge, the temporary IIM Guwahati campus, and flagged off 100 electric buses.
• He watched an air show featuring Tejas, Sukhoi, and Rafale aircraft after the landing.
