PM Modi Lands on Northeast's First Emergency Landing Highway in Assam

• PM Modi's aircraft made a historic landing on the Northeast’s first Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) on a national highway in Assam.
• The 4.2-kilometre facility on Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh district, built at Rs 100 crore, is designed for IAF fighter jets and transport aircraft.
• The dual-use infrastructure can handle fighter aircraft up to 40 tonnes and transport aircraft up to 74 tonnes.
• PM Modi witnessed a 20-minute aerial display showcasing the facility's operational capabilities.
• He is also set to inaugurate the Rs 3,000-crore Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu over the Brahmaputra river in Guwahati.
