RoDTEP: ₹15,756 Cr Disbursed to Exporters; India's China Exports Outpace Imports
•RoDTEP scheme disbursed ₹15,756.96 crore to over 1.11 lakh exporters this fiscal (till Dec 25), refunding embedded taxes to boost global competitiveness.
•Key beneficiaries include labour-intensive sectors like textiles, marine products, and engineering goods, contributing significantly to employment and export growth.
•India's exports to China grew 38.31% year-on-year (April-Jan current FY), significantly outpacing imports which rose 13.82%.
•Imports from China are largely due to India's demand for capital goods, intermediate goods, and raw materials for expanding sectors like electronics and pharma.
•Indian exporters face non-tariff barriers such as EU’s REACH requirements, delays in EU listings for fish products, and stringent checks for aquaculture shrimp and tea.
