SC Halts Haryana's Aravalli Safari Plan: "No One Can Touch Aravallis"

Supreme Court rejects Haryana's Aravalli Zoo Safari plan, stating "no one can touch the Aravallis" until experts define the range.

The court will not allow any development until the definition of the Aravalli mountain range is finally determined by experts.

Haryana revised its Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the safari from 10,000 acres to over 3,300 acres, seeking permission to submit it.

The apex court had previously stayed the mega 'Aravalli Zoo Safari project' proposed by Haryana, described as the world's largest.

The SC deferred instructions on a uniform Aravalli definition due to "significant ambiguities" and proposed a high-level expert panel.
