Kalyan-Dombivli's Traffic Revolution: Double-Decker Metro to Run Above Roads

•Kalyan-Dombivli to get a double-decker metro corridor, featuring a three-tier system: road, flyover, and metro.
•A crucial meeting at MMRDA office, attended by MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde and MMRDA Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, finalized the plan.
•Projects like Metro 12 (Kalyan-Taloja), Metro 14 (Kanjurmarg-Badlapur), and Metro 5 (Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan) will adopt this new design.
•Discussions also covered Ulhasnagar infrastructure, demanding 100 crore rupees for road works, and relocation plans for affected citizens.
•Expedited land acquisition for Kalyan East projects and extensions for Metro 5 and Metro 12 are underway to streamline regional traffic.
