Triveni Kala Sangam at 75: Celebrating a Legacy of Arts and Culture
•Triveni Kala Sangam, a multi-arts non-profit, celebrates 75 years in 2026, located in New Delhi's cultural hub, Mandi House.
•Founded by Sundari Shridharani, it offered early training in Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, flute, and art from a two-room space.
•Designed by American architect Joseph Allen Stein with a budget of just Rs 10,000, Stein did not charge a fee for the project.
•The center was envisioned as a modern multi-arts complex, encouraging lingering and facilitating meetings with its unique architectural elements like jaalis and exposed concrete.
•Its amphitheater, galleries, and auditorium have hosted legendary artists including Pt Ravi Shankar, Uday Shankar, Yamini Krishnamurthy, and Habib Tanvir.
