Centum Electronics to build advanced radar for HAL helicopters in ₹500 crore deal

• Centum Electronics secures order from HAL for Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems for Utility Helicopter–Maritime (UH-M) platform.
• Phase-1 purchase order is valued at ₹66 crore (gross ₹78 crore with GST) for design and development.
• Phase-2 involves serial production and supply over five years, estimated at ₹500 crore (gross ₹590 crore with GST).
• The AESA radar will enhance UH-M's operational and surveillance capabilities by detecting, classifying, and tracking multiple maritime targets.
• This deal strengthens Centum's role in advanced indigenous defence systems and its relationship with HAL.
