HAL Secures ₹2,901 Cr Defence Order for ALH Mk-III Helicopters; Shares in Focus

•Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) won a ₹2,901 crore contract from the Ministry of Defence for Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) Mk-III (MR).
•The order, signed on Tuesday, falls under the 'Indian-Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured' category.
•The contract includes operational role equipment, an engineering support package, and performance-based logistics support.
•These helicopters will enhance the Indian Coast Guard's capabilities for safety of islands, offshore installations, fishermen, and marine environment.
•HAL also clarified its position on the AMCA project bidding and reports of Tejas jet grounding, stating it was a minor technical incident.
