RVNL Secures ₹242.5 Crore South Central Railway Electrification Project

• Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a significant overhead electrification (OHE) upgrade project.
• The contract, valued at ₹242.50 crore (including taxes), is for the South Central Railway's Vijayawada Division.
• The project involves upgrading the existing 1X25kV system to 2X25kV at the Feeding System in the Ongole-Gudur section.
• RVNL is required to complete the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning within 24 months.
