NPS Withdrawal Rules Eased: 100% Corpus Withdrawal Now Possible for Many

• PFRDA introduced significant changes to NPS withdrawal rules in December 2025, benefiting investors.
• Subscribers can now withdraw 100% of their corpus if it's 8 lakh rupees or less at retirement (age 60+), up from 5 lakh rupees.
• For premature exit (after 5-year lock-in), 100% withdrawal is allowed if the corpus is 5 lakh rupees or less.
• In case of subscriber's death, nominees receive 100% of the corpus as a lump sum, regardless of the amount.
• The maximum exit age has been extended to 85 years, offering greater flexibility for continued investment.
