Amaravati to get High-Speed Rail Connectivity: Travel Time to Hyderabad Slashed to 90 Mins

• Amaravati to be connected to two major high-speed rail corridors: Hyderabad-Chennai and Mysore-Chennai.
• Travel time from Hyderabad to Amaravati will be reduced from 5-6 hours to just 90-120 minutes.
• The Hyderabad-Chennai corridor will link Shamshabad Airport to Chennai via Amaravati/Vijayawada.
• The Mysore-Chennai corridor will enable high-speed travel from Amaravati to Bengaluru and Mysore.
• Central Government sanctioned Rs. 2,245 crores for the Amaravati railway line, including a 3-km iconic bridge over the Krishna River.
