Tiger Panic Grips AP: Elusive Big Cat Evades Capture, Attacks Calf in Kakinada

•An elusive tiger is causing widespread panic in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the erstwhile East Godavari and now Kakinada districts.
•The tiger recently attacked and killed a calf in the Mandapam area, consuming part of it before moving on.
•Forest officials are struggling to track the tiger, which moves 20-30 km overnight, despite setting up cages and using geo-cameras.
•Specialized "Hanuman teams" are being deployed to capture the tiger without harming it, expected to arrive soon.
•Four mandals – Shankhavaram, Routhulapudi, Tuni, and Kotananduru – are on high alert, with residents advised to take precautions.
